CONTENT STRATEGY


GOTHAM JOURNAL

In August, 2017 I was asked to solve a series of problems by the Gotham owners. First, they wanted to drive more traffic to the website. Second, they wanted to improve open rates on their e-blasts. And third, they wanted to decrease their bounce rate.

The solution I pitched was to repurpose the Blog (which had been woefully underused) as a high-end digital magazine. We would publish weekly content — recipes, articles, essays, photo spreads, and more — as a way to engage with our patrons in a more meaningful way.

It was a huge success, mainly because it gave us an opportunity to tell our story — a place to share information about our menu, our people, and our mission.
