For the past 16 years I’ve balanced two parallel careers — one in the arts, and another in hospitality — and I’ve found it’s that unique juxtaposition of skills and experiences that allows me to better serve my clients. I’m a writer, director, photographer, and digital strategist who makes a living telling stories.
Which is convenient, because I believe marketing is all about being a great storyteller.
And so the question I’m always asking my clients is this: “What are the stories only you can tell?”
WHAT IS MARKETING?
Successful marketing begins by answering three questions:
What’s your product?
Who is it for?
How do you reach them?
I help chefs and restaurant owners find the answers to those questions, and then build a marketing strategy to drive traffic and boost revenue.
Whether I’m shooting a spring menu or laying out a Facebook Ads strategy, the identity of a restaurant is the thing that guides each and every decision I make. It’s about communicating something to our potential audience, enticing them to book a reservation here instead of somewhere else. We do that through a variety of steps, beginning with supplying answers to the three questions listed above.
